Avon Ideal Flawless BB Cream

Hi beauties!

BB creams seemed very interesting for me for some time, and finally I bought one from Avon!

BB creams are short for beauty balms or blemish balms. They were first developed in Germany but all-in-one formulation became a sensation in South Korea and then spread throughout Asia.

I always was searching for something lighter than usual foundation for everyday use and until then have tried some tinted moisturizers. They felt ok, but I kept looking for something better.

According to Avon it's 10-in-1 Beauty Balm:
- Lightweight coverage
- infused with Vitamin E
- infused with minerals and antioxidants
- hydrates skin
- evens skintone
- visibly minimizes redness
- conceals flaws
- lightweight feel
- smoothes skin
- SPF 15 protection
- skin looks better even after removing

It comes in 30ml black tube packaging with girly pink BB letters.

I usually use selftanners, so I got one in Medium Beige – medium dark shade with olive undertone.  Luckily it showed to be the perfect match, as it's hard to guess the color by catalogue.

Avon BB cream has medium thick texture, I apply it with fingers, can be applied with brush too. I only use small amount to cover my whole face. It evens out skin tone, gives nice polished look, and covers redness perfectly. I don't really feel it on my skin, which is great. It is also quite moisturising and one more good feature - doesn't have any smell.

Coverage is enough for lightweight cream - covered even my cat's scratches on the hand :D
Looks a little bit dark on the hand but adapts to complexion quickly.

This BB cream could be more suitable for dry to normal skin, because it has a lot of small reflective particles inside. For oily skin maybe too shiny, especially in summer. Though my skin is combination type shine doesn't actually bother me, as long as I got flawless skin look.

Overall I'm really satisfied with this BB, and will switch from foundation to it.

Orly HALO

Hi girlies!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, had to stay some time without my camera.
Halo is a nail polish from Orly's Naughty or Nice for Holiday 2012 and it's a pefect combination of gold, silver and champagne glitter. In the picture I have three coats on the nails, two seemed not enough to get full coverage.

What are your favorite nail glitters ?

March Favorites

Hi sweeties!

Here are my March favorites!

St Moriz Instant Self Tanning Mousse Dark
Awesome self-tanner, definitely my favorite at the moment! I had one in medium colour some time ago but it seemed too light for me, so this time I bought the same mousse in dark color. This product is brilliant for its money! The tan is instant, you can see where actually you put it, but it needs to be rubbed in well not to go streaky. I apply St Moriz every two days to keep the result.
Pros: it's cheap, tan seems pretty natural, I apply it directly with hands and it washes away easily after and I don't really feel any smell as it usually is with self-tanners.
The only con is that it maybe drying, so be sure to moisturize your skin before applying.

Bourjois Express Eye Makeup Remover
Has 2 formulas inside that need to be shaked well in order to get mixed. Not oily at all, I even had moisturized feeling after using, perfect for winter time when skin becomes dryer that usually. Only small amount is needed to remove all makeup. Honestly never tried it with waterproof makeup, but decription promises to cope good with it also. At first felt a little bit pricey for me, but I already use it from beginning of January, my usual eye make-up removers only last a month.

Mineral Flowers Almond Body Butter
Review can be found here

Syoss Anti-Grease Dry Shampoo
I don't use it often, but it really gives what it promises - one more day of fresh-looking hair. As you already know my hair is dry, but roots tend to get oily in about 2-3 days, so I've decided to give dry shampoo a try, and only found Syoss in a local drugstore. So it really helps, hair look clean, as a bonus it gives additional volume. The only thing bothering me is the scent, it keeps following all day long.

Baikal Herbals Aerial Facial Foam
Recently I started to have dry and tight skin feeling after washing and occasionally bought this facial wash. It's made in Russia, contains plant extracts of Lake Baikal - Ural licorice, sage and verbena. Does not contain parabens and PEG. I have a lot of Russian cosmetics which I really like, this foam also left me satisfied, it cleanses the skin gently and effectively, and leaves the skin feeling fresh. Skin dryness and tightness have gone, and for almost a month I have used only small amount. Definitely a bargain!

Oriflame Swedish Spa Anti-Cellulite Cream
Contains caffeine, ginger extract, extract of swedish red algae, aborbs quickly. It gives extremely  cooling effect after applying, which I like, as it makes me think that cream really works. I don't use it regularly (like it should be) but skin already looks smoother.

Kerastase Elixir Ultime Versatile Beautifying Oil

Hi beauties!

I've bought Kerastase Elixir oil in classic yellow version some time ago, and already've used up a half.

According to Kerastase:
Versatile nourishing oil that provides ultimate shine, softness and nourishment for all hair types.
  •     Multi-use oil that can be used pre and post styling
  •     Delivers ultimate shine, deep conditioning and nourishment
  •     Add softness, strength, and smoothness
  •     Promotes cellular renewal with its anti-oxidant active ingredients
  •     Helps restore strength to the hair and protects it from external aggressors
  •     A blend of four precious scented oils that works for all hair types

Multi-use oil may be applied the following ways:

  •     Apply 2-4 pumps depending on hair length
  •     Pre-Cleanse: Apply to brushed hair and rinse out before applying shampoo to remove impurities
  •     Pre-Blow Dry: Apply to towel-dried hair and blow dry as normal for additional protection
  •     Finishing: Work into the ends of the hair to control frizz, smooth and style
  •     Touch-up: Apply throughout the day to add a touch of shine as needed
OLEO-COMPLEXE:
  •     Maize Oil: Delivers emollient and anti-oxidant active ingredients for ultimate shine
  •     Pracaxi Oil: Brings shine, nourishment and deep conditioning to the hair
  •     Camellia Oil: Helps smooth the hair fiber, resulting in incredible shine
  •     Argan Oil: Helps restore strength to the hair and protects it from external aggressors
Ingredients:
Cyclopentasiloxane, dimethiconol, zea mays (corn germ oil), argania spinosa oil (argania spinosa kernel oil), camellia kissi (camellia kissi seed oil), pentaclethra macroloba oil (pentaclethra macroloba seed oil), linalool, alpha-isomethyl ionone, limolene, coumarin, benzyl alcohol, parfum (fragrance)

Oil has light clear texture, for my thick and dry hair I use 2-3 pumps and it still doesn't make hair look dirty or greasy. Packaging is very convenient - plastic bottle with well-working pump.

The thing I love about Elixir is the various ways you can use it. Until now I have tried 2 ways - before styling and as a finishing touch.
As a leave-in treatment it made my hair more manageable, softer and less dry looking, still leaving the volume.
As a finishing gloss as it moisturizes and calms down frizzy hair still leaving them feeling weightless. It's my favorite way of usage until now.

The only thing bothering me is the scent - is described as a coconut, actually it's quite heavy and I can feel cucumbers somewhere in the middle.

Elixir oil is quite expensive though - about 35Euro. So if you don't mind spending extra money on hair oil I would definitely recommend it.

Classic Elixir oil has been awarded by top beauty magazines, such as Harper's Bazaar, and got Beauty Insiders Choice prize in 2012. Because of the success of original Elixir, Kerastase has added 3 more versions of it - Elixir Ultime Le Grands Crus collection.

Violet for fine and sensitized hair with Millenium Rose, pink for colour-treated hair with Imperial Tea and green one for damaged hair with Immortal Moringa.

Next on my haircare wishlist would be green Elixir with Kenzo Flower scent.

Have you tried any of them? What are your favorite hair oils?

Getting ready for spring!

Hi girls!

Though it's still too cold now, last weekend me and my friend have done spring window shopping, so I ended up buying Guess clutch bag in nice cerise color and Mohito rocker black leather chain bracelet.

How's your weekend been?
